Surgical Services Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit

Position Overview

Navarro Regional Hospital is seeking a dedicated full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) within our well-established 162-bed acute care facility.

The role of the Circulator is integral to the operating room team, ensuring a sterile and secure environment for patients undergoing surgical procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate assigned patients, planning, implementing, and documenting comprehensive nursing care.
  • Support physicians during examinations and medical procedures.
  • Conduct various patient assessments and administer medications in accordance with nursing practice standards.
  • Foster patient independence by setting care objectives and educating patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and self-management techniques.

  • Capability to provide care across all age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active Registered Nurse certification in the State of Texas.
  • At least one (1) year of nursing experience.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Circulator role is preferred.

Work Schedule:

  • Five (5) shifts of eight (8) hours each.
  • On-call duties are required, with a response time of 20 minutes or the option to stay in a designated hospital room.
