Relief Pharmacist

Position Overview

As a Relief Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in fostering connections with patients by exceeding their expectations and delivering safe, precise, and effective care to achieve optimal outcomes for patients, team members, and the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
• Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree
• Licensing Requirements: Valid CPR Certification, Immunization License, and a valid pharmacy license (multiple states preferred)
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 25 pounds
• Travel Requirement: Regional - Daily, more than 50%

Job Duties

• Execute all responsibilities to ensure the safe and efficient dispensing of patient orders by adhering to quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Exemplify outstanding patient care by engaging with patients and proactively addressing their needs, including counseling and problem-solving.
• Carry out all pharmacist duties, including interpreting, filling, and refilling prescriptions for medications and durable medical equipment, reviewing clinical aspects of prescriptions, maintaining patient profiles, and ensuring accurate medication delivery.
• Support the Team Leader in creating an optimal experience for both the team and patients through effective delegation of tasks and efficient resource management.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering of products and supplies to meet patient needs while maximizing profitability.
• Maintain a clean and sterile work environment in compliance with all company, local, state, and federal regulations.
• Analyze service and business metrics and collaborate with the team on action plans to enhance outcomes.
• Complete all necessary documentation and possess knowledge of audit processes.
• Contribute to the implementation of company initiatives and programs.
• Stay informed about new medications, therapies, and advancements in the pharmacy field.
• Maintain professional skills and competencies, advocating for positive changes in the pharmacy profession to enhance patient care and organizational performance.
• Continuously build professional relationships with external partners, including physicians, nurses, medical assistants, industry representatives, and vendors.
• Perform duties of Pharmacy Team Leader and Pharmacy Technician as needed.
• Assist in mentoring and training new pharmacy team members.
• Foster a positive work environment for all team members.
• Provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members, following established guidelines.
• Adhere to all company, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations.
• Administer immunizations and actively engage in clinical services to optimize patient and organizational outcomes.
