Bishop & Company is in search of a Communication Coordinator to join a medical management team within a local insurance firm.

This role will facilitate verbal interactions and the production/distribution of written notifications necessary for adherence to governmental and regulatory standards.

The candidate must possess the ability to adhere to tight deadlines and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication capabilities. Previous experience in the medical field is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:


Handling requests for written communications from various departments to members and providers, ensuring compliance with regulatory, governmental, and departmental standards in a prompt manner.

Completing verbal and/or written communication tasks to members and/or providers through fax, mail, and/or phone calls.
Recording verbal and written communications within the appropriate clinical documentation systems.
Submitting written notifications to the letter print shop via a web application.
Assisting with operational intake tasks, including processing faxes and managing messages through the call center.
Addressing inquiries received via email regarding written notifications.
Carrying out additional responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Highly organized and detail-focused.
Effective time management skills to meet deadlines.
Ability to proofread work for spelling, grammar, and punctuation accuracy.
Proficiency in typing and MS Word is required.
Familiarity with Data Entry, MS Excel & Outlook, and phone servicing is preferred.

Additional Information:
Job Type: Temporary opportunity with potential for extension.

Compensation:
$16/hour.

Work Hours:
7:45 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday-Friday) + overtime as required.
