Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver services as outlined in each resident's service plan with a friendly and supportive approach, including administering medications per physician orders and as documented on the Medication Administration Record.
  • Record any observed changes in residents' conditions in compliance with local regulations and organizational policies.
  • Engage in effective communication with fellow Medication Aides to ensure consistent quality of care.
  • Assist in meal service operations, including serving, clearing, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
  • Promote teamwork among colleagues, demonstrate initiative in resolving challenges, and contribute positively to the environment for co-workers, residents, and visitors.
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

  • Covid-19 Vaccination is mandatory
  • A genuine compassion for and desire to work with seniors
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required
  • State-required certifications
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a caregiving capacity or a related role
  • Supervisory experience of six months or more in a health-related setting
  • Ability to interpret physician orders and align them with Medication Administration Records
  • Understanding of medical terminology sufficient for medication administration and communication with healthcare professionals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with human resource regulations
