The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Corewell Health is dedicated to providing exceptional care in both elective and emergency settings for patients with cardiac and vascular issues. Our facility utilizes state-of-the-art technology to conduct a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures, including high-risk angioplasty and chronic total occlusions, as well as structural heart interventions such as TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement).

Role and Responsibilities
The Cath Lab Nurse operates under the guidelines established by the American Nurses Association, employing the nursing process to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. This role involves collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to ensure specialized care throughout the cath lab continuum, including pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases. Critical thinking and effective communication are essential components of this position.

Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required within five years of hire.
- One year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed healthcare role for graduates from non-accredited nursing programs.
- Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire.
- Specialty certification is highly recommended within two years.
- Preferred: One year of ICU experience and relevant acute care experience.
- Preferred: Experience in Critical Care, Cath Lab, or Procedural/OR settings.
