Job Overview:

The Commercial HVAC Service Manager oversees the daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This role includes managing a team of service technicians, coordinating service calls, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate Service Operations: Ensure timely and quality service delivery by coordinating HVAC service operations.
  2. Lead a High-Performing Team: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage service technicians, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
  3. Develop Strong Client Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns, managing expectations, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  4. Optimize Service Schedules: Develop and manage service schedules to optimize technician utilization and rapid response times.
  5. Maintain Quality Standards: Implement and enforce quality standards to ensure work is completed efficiently and to industry standards.
  6. Monitor Performance: Monitor service department performance and develop strategies to increase revenue.
  7. Manage Vendor Relationships: Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure availability of parts, tools, and equipment.
  8. Ensure Compliance: Ensure all service work adheres to safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  9. Drive Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements, including the use of new technologies to enhance service efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in commercial HVAC service management.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, specifically large chillers, boilers, VRF systems.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience with service scheduling, budgeting, and operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in service management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of industry safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
