Position Overview:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, the **Cardiac and Vascular Ultrasound Technologist** plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of the ultrasound lab. This position involves performing comprehensive 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping, and cardiac Doppler echocardiography on adult patients. Additionally, the technologist will independently conduct various vascular ultrasound procedures, ensuring accurate and reliable diagnostic information for physician evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate effectively within the lab team to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in performing and interpreting advanced echocardiographic techniques.
  • Conduct vascular ultrasound examinations with sound judgment to support clinical decision-making.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy and related pathophysiology.
  • Oversee procedure documentation and charging processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Maintain quality assurance and accreditation documentation for ultrasound procedures.
  • Manage scheduling and verification of ultrasound orders.
  • Provide care for patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.
  • Adhere to clinical guidelines and National Patient Safety Goals in all patient interactions.

Qualifications:
  • Certification in Medical Sonography - Vascular (RVT) and/or Cardiac (RDCS or RCS) is required upon hire.
  • Preferred experience includes at least one year in clinical echo or vascular settings.
  • Proficiency in dual modality imaging as per departmental standards.
  • Current CPR certification is required.

Job Type:
Full-time
Compensation:
$30 to $45 per hour, negotiable based on experience.
