Aquatics Director Job Description

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aquatics Director to join our team at Waterworks Aquatics. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality of our swim lesson and aquatics programming, ensuring the overall profitability of our locations, and strengthening the overall customer and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the quality of aquatics programming across assigned locations, ensuring that our standards are met and exceeded.
  • Responsible for staffing levels, lesson programming, and ensuring that our staff meets Waterworks standards.
  • Conduct daily/weekly audits to ensure standardization and consistency in the quality of training given to trainees.
  • Oversee the Deck Guards to ensure proper evaluations, training, and feedback are given on a regular basis.
  • Conduct and ensure on-time delivery of performance reviews to all aquatics staff.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Previous aquatics management experience is required.
  • Must be willing to be in water at least hours per week.
  • Previous people management experience is required.
  • Experience in marketing and/or sales is a plus.
  • First Aid, CPR, AED Certification (Infant, Child, Adult).
  • Must be goal and results-driven.
  • Must be solutions-oriented.
  • Must showcase ability to coach, train, and motivate employees.
  • Must be energetic, outgoing, and a quick learner.
  • Must have a positive attitude.
