Paraeducator Substitute

We are seeking a Paraeducator Substitute to join our team at Topeka Public Schools. As a substitute paraeducator, you will provide critical support to our students and staff during periods of absenteeism. This role requires flexibility and adaptability as you work with students with various disabilities, including gifted, moderately and severely disabled, learning disabled, behavioral disabled, physically impaired, autistic, hearing impaired, visually impaired, and speech impaired.

• Assist teachers with daily instruction and provide one-on-one support to students
• Help students achieve their individual objectives and develop life skills
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure student success

To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Applicants should also possess flexibility in their schedule and be willing to adapt to changing circumstances.
