Role Summary:
Reporting directly to the VP of Strategic Projects, this position is responsible for overseeing the execution of large-scale projects related to abrasive blasting and protective coating facilities. This encompasses the design and construction of facilities, as well as the installation and commissioning of equipment supplied by BlastOne. Project values will typically range from $5 million to $50 million.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take personal accountability for project delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Act as the primary liaison between BlastOne and clients, fostering trust and confidence.
- Maintain strict oversight of the project budget, including regular reporting and forecasting.
- Evaluate, contract, and supervise general contractors and subcontractors.
- Lead your project team cohesively, aligning with BlastOne's culture and core values.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management is essential, accompanied by relevant industrial construction experience.
- A minimum of 10 to 20 years of experience in Project Management, specifically with large-scale projects exceeding $5 million.
- Strong aptitude in Mechanical Engineering and a background in Design/Build Construction.
- Proven track record in managing complex industrial construction and equipment projects.
- Technical proficiency and familiarity with industrial equipment and construction processes are preferred.
- Experience collaborating with C-Level executives in a professional context.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Comprehensive understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Capability to apply engineering principles to resolve construction challenges effectively.
- Experience in process engineering and documentation is advantageous.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and swiftly address issues as they arise.
- Flexibility and adaptability in managing change.
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits, controllers, and pneumatics is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple subcontractors effectively.
