The Department of Imaging Sciences Emergency Division at the University of Rochester (URMC) is actively seeking an ABR certified/eligible radiologist for a full-time faculty position.

Recognized as a world leader in radiological testing, education, and research, the Department of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester is at the forefront of diagnostic and therapeutic imaging technologies and is equipped with state-of-the-art IT and capture equipment.

UR Medicine has a dedicated Emergency Imaging division which currently works from 10pm to 8 am. The shifts are one week on with the following 2 weeks with non-clinical responsibility.

Fully staffed the division will have 6 full time radiologists supervising 2 overnight residents and a possible emergency radiology fellow.

Option exists to divide shifts to include a portion of time with the Emergency Division and a balance to include another sub-specialty area of imaging.

Compensation and benefit packages are competitive and are indexed to national productivity-based standards for both community and academic based radiologists and include 403B and 457 plans, disability insurance, and tuition benefits.

Individually managed professional accounts intended to promote professional development and participation in national professional and advocacy organizations exceed that of national academic peers.

The department has maintained an average of one day per week of dedicated academic/administrative time to allow for professional development.

The Department of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester is a practice of approximately 90 radiologists and 25-30 residents and fellows, and is actively expanding fellowship, research and advocacy programs.

Technical highlights include state of the art information technology, 3T MRI, a PET/MRI, Dual Energy CT and digital PET/CT.
