Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per yearJob Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery at Williamson Health provides high-quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care. This role involves comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care planning, and collaboration with healthcare teams to maintain high standards of care.

The ideal candidate will have a nursing diploma or degree, state licensure, and relevant certifications. One year of perinatal experience is preferred, but not required. The successful candidate will be able to work well under pressure, function independently, and be flexible in applying basic nursing knowledge to various settings.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Licensed by the State of Tennessee
  • Nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire
  • At least one year of perinatal experience preferred
  • Certified Lactation Consultant, preferred
  • NRP certification within six months of hire
  • ACLS certification or agree to obtain within six months of hire
  • Level I, Level II, and fetal monitoring certifications within one year of hire

Perinatal/OB-GYN Unit Requirements
  • Performs comprehensive assessments on all patients within the appropriate time of admission
  • Plans patient care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems, and attainable outcomes
  • Plans for patient teaching, discharge, and post-discharge needs as appropriate for patient population
  • Functions independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to areas, evidenced by adherence to policy, procedure, and competency-based assessment
  • Handles/transports/stores/prepares/administers medications/solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures
