Job Summary

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Pediatric Critical Care team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and contribute to the advancement of pediatric critical care.

Responsibilities

Assess and manage complex acute, critical, and chronically ill patients, utilizing relevant data to evaluate physiologic instability and formulate a plan of care.
Perform therapeutic interventions to stabilize acute and critical health problems, adhering to the Scope of Practice Document and approved credentialing/privileging process.
Analyze indications, contraindications, risk of complications, and cost-benefits of therapeutic interventions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Manage patient transitions between and within healthcare settings, facilitating seamless care coordination.
Serve as an educational resource to patients, families, nursing staff, and provider teams, promoting health literacy and best practices.
Participate in scholarly activities, including research and education, to advance the field of pediatric critical care.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies required; Master's Degree preferred.
Ability to work in an inter-professional team setting with multiple responsibilities, utilizing computer and electronic medical records effectively.
