Key Responsibilities
  • Deliveries and Customer Service: Deliver products to customers, assist with unloading, and ensure delivery of tickets with material. Serve as the primary interface with customers at the point of delivery.
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading trucks with daily deliveries and unloading products at customer sites.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and Prime Contractor Supply Corporation's policies and procedures. Report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after the route.
  • Customer Service Issues: Resolve customer service issues encountered during pick-up and/or delivery.
  • Compliance and Record-Keeping: Comply with all DOT standards and regulations. Maintain records such as vehicle logs and bill of ladings in accordance with guidelines.
  • Route Planning: Plan routes to and from customers' businesses and adjust for traffic and/or construction.
  • Manifests and Inventory: Ensure that manifests are complete and accurate. May assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment, as well as receiving, verifying, staging, and stocking all incoming material.
Work Environment

This role typically involves working in a comfortable environment with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.

Employment Requirements
  • Age and Experience: Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older. One (1) year of commercial driving experience compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations preferred.
  • License and Certification: Have a current Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state in which the candidate resides with all the relevant endorsements required for the type of equipment being operated.
  • Physical Demands: Position will require the ability to lift 40 pounds or less, and the employee must be able to maneuver through some obstacles in a supply yard in a reasonable fashion.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly Rate: $25/hour
  • Federal Holidays: 8 Federal Holidays (New Years Day, MLK Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day)
  • Year-End Merit Cash Bonus: Eligible (subject to discretion)
  • Upward Mobility: Possible and encouraged as opportunities become available
