Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder Leader to join our team at the Department of the Navy - Agency Wide. As a Welder Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of welders and ensuring the highest quality of work in the fabrication and repair of naval vessels and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of welders in the fabrication and repair of naval vessels and equipment
  • Ensure the highest quality of work and adherence to safety protocols
  • Develop and implement welding procedures and processes
  • Conduct quality control inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and meet project deadlines
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in welding and leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes and procedures
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a shipyard environment with exposure to noise, dust, and other hazardous materials. The selected candidate must be able to wear personal protective equipment and work in a fast-paced environment.
