Seasonal Groundskeeper

The City of Janesville, WI is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Seasonal Groundskeeper - Parks Division. As a key member of our Parks Division, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our parks and public facilities.

This is a seasonal position that requires a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for performing routine groundskeeping tasks, including lawn care, landscaping, and equipment operation. Additionally, you will assist with special projects and events as needed.

• Maintain clean and attractive park areas, including lawns, flower beds, and playgrounds
• Operate various maintenance equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers
• Assist with setup and teardown of events, including festivals, parades, and sports tournaments
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
• Valid driver's license at time of hire
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
