Position Overview:
As the primary medical authority, you will oversee compliance with federal and state regulations, ensuring that all operations align with the standards set forth by the Food and Drug Administration. Your role will include monitoring medical adherence within the center.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as or delegate the responsibilities of 'laboratory director', 'technical consultant', or 'clinical consultant' as outlined by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988 regulations (CLIA).
• Ensure that all necessary training and proficiency testing for CLIA/COLA is conducted, maintaining high medical standards and compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

• Provide medical guidance to Medical Staff Associates, including their training and evaluation for certification by Regulatory Affairs.
• Conduct regular reviews of Medical Staff Associates' documentation and engage in monthly discussions regarding medical topics.

• Address inquiries related to donor suitability for long-term plasmapheresis and conduct thorough interviews with donors to gather necessary information.

• Uphold confidentiality regarding all records and oversee the maintenance of medical supplies and emergency equipment.

• Review medical incident reports and abnormal test results, ensuring donor safety and compliance with health protocols.

• Participate in the Anti-D Program by performing evaluations and providing oversight during immunization processes.

Qualifications:
• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution with an active medical license in the relevant state.
• Minimum of one year of residency training as an MD or DO.
