We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department.

• Process Prescription Requests: You will be responsible for processing prescription requests in a timely and accurate manner, while building trusted relationships with our customers.
• Troubleshoot Insurance Claims: You will troubleshoot rejected insurance claims and address issues to achieve the best outcome for our customers.
• Follow Department Processes: You will follow department processes and procedures to input information, dispense medication, and verify information.
• Ensure Department Efficiency: You will ensure the department is running smoothly by assisting with tasks, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, and rotating and stocking drugs and other supplies.
• Handle Products and Equipment: You will properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs, and follow sanitation practices.

• Computer Skills: You will need to have basic computer skills and the ability to perform basic mathematical computations to perform data entry and fill prescriptions without error.
• State-Specific Requirements: You may be required to have Pharmacy Technician certification, depending on the state in which you work.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience ordering products and controlling inventory, Pharmacy Technician experience, and Pharmacy Technician certification are preferred.
