Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Technician II to join our team at Sutter Health. As an Orthopedic Technician II, you will play a critical role in providing support to physicians and other healthcare providers in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of orthopedic injuries and diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and assemble orthopedic equipment, ensuring it is safe and consistent with infection control guidelines.
  • Calibrate equipment and understand procedures for all treatment performed.
  • Participate in inventory control, distributing and collecting used supplies.
  • Apply and remove casts and splints under direct supervision of a clinician.
  • Prepare for and assist physicians in various orthopedic procedures.
  • Ensure routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental time frames.
  • Provide patient education on braces, casts, and splints.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
  • ORTHO-Orthopedic Technician certification or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year of recent relevant experience.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position with variable hours, including days and weekends. The pay range is $38.74 to $46.46 per hour.
