Job Summary:

New York Health is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will play a vital role in the healthcare process by collecting and processing lab specimens, performing various tests, and providing support to physicians during examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and process lab specimens, including blood draws and urine tests
  • Perform venipuncture, flu/covid/strep testing, and other laboratory procedures
  • Assist physicians during examinations and provide support as needed
  • Sterilize medical equipment and instruments
  • Provide exceptional patient care and maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

  • Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma
  • At least 1 year of experience in phlebotomy
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish speaking preferred
  • Proficiency in Word/Excel
