Special Effects Makeup Artist

At Six Flags Over Texas, we are seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Makeup Artists and Airbrush Artists to join our Entertainment Team. These positions are vetted and instructed by our Creative Team and report directly to our Costuming Supervisors during the season.
Key Responsibilities:- Create consistent and accurate makeup looks as designed by the owners of our contracted IPs for Fright Fest Characters through makeup and hair.
- Utilize traditional techniques, as well as prosthetic application, Special FX artistry, airbrush techniques, and proper mask utilization to accomplish required looks.
- Act as quality control for Character appearance and touch-up looks as needed, both in the field and dressing room, throughout the night.
- Communicate any Makeup or Hair needs to Costuming Supervisor.
- Operate in a safe and efficient manner at all times while holding safety in the highest regard.
- Maintain professional standards in accordance with all Six Flags policies and procedures.
- Be available to work late afternoons/evenings on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during our Fright Fest season.
- Be punctual and have a good attendance record.
- Be able to work in all outdoor conditions for extended periods of time.
- Be able to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel, lift, push, and pull up to fifty pounds.
- Be professional, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and work well with others.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to non-disclosure agreements.
