We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our team at Hanco EMS. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for delivering pre-hospital and trauma care to patients in need.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Pre-Hospital and Trauma Care: Provide emergency medical care to patients in accordance with established medical protocols and state and federal laws.
- Transport Patients: Safely transport patients to medical facilities while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Complete Reports: Accurately complete reports on patient care and transport, including obtaining required signatures and providing copies to receiving medical facilities.
- Restock Supplies: Restock all supplies used on calls and confirm that all equipment is returned to its proper location.
- Participate in Debriefing Sessions: Participate in debriefing sessions to discuss runs and company business.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Job-Related Updates: Stay current with job-related updates in pre-hospital procedures and regulations.
- Participate in Training Events: Participate in monthly training events or CEU classes to maintain certification and licensure.
- Ohio Division of EMS Certification: Must be certified as a Paramedic by the Ohio Division of EMS.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS): Must have current ACLS certification within 30 days of employment.
- Healthcare Provider Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR): Must have current CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and meet company fleet policy and auto insurance requirements.
- Positive Service-Oriented Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Must have positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Patient Care: Must have knowledge of patient care and be able to demonstrate the skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.
This position requires performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, sitting for long periods of time, and handling of materials. The ability to lift and maneuver and walk up and down stairs carrying 120 pounds or more with assistance and without difficulty.
This position is classified 'at risk' for possible occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens (HBV, HIV, etc).
