ManTech is seeking a motivated, career-oriented Junior Software Engineer to join our team in the Chantilly, VA area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy software applications using Java, JEE, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, GitLab, ElasticSearch, Grafana, and Kibana.
  • Drive software design, development, integration, configuration management, transition planning, acceptance testing, and deployment activities.
  • Implement Continuous Integration, Automated Testing, and DevOps practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and Java, JEE, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, GitLab, ElasticSearch, Grafana, and Kibana.
  • Experience with Web Development and Cloud-based technologies, including AWS service offerings.
  • Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline.
  • Experience with designing and documenting microservice-based architectures.
  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with distributed systems (services and databases).
  • Experience with developing, debugging, and testing web applications and web services.
  • Experience with Test, Verification, and Deployment.
  • B.S. in a technical field with 2+ years of software engineering experience or Master's Degree in a technical field with 0+ years of systems engineering experience.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • An active and current TS/SCI w/ poly is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
