Symbotic, a leading automation technology company, is seeking an intern to join its Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team.

As a Safety and Compliance Intern, you will assist in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment by supporting compliance audits, implementing safety standards, and collaborating with operations teams to analyze the impact of work processes on site safety.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in EHS and contribute to the development of a culture of safety within Symbotic.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support compliance, installation, and operations in a safe and efficient manner
  • Assisting Symbotic teams in upholding safety and compliance standards to ensure a secure work environment
  • Conducting audits of daily work permits and reporting findings in partnership with the EHS team and relevant leaders
  • Supporting the implementation and understanding of EHS Standard Requirements to drive compliance across projects
  • Taking personal responsibility for adhering to all EHS policies, procedures, and initiatives, setting a strong example for others
  • Working alongside operations to analyze the connection between work processes and customer site safety, conducting assessments and addressing permit-related conditions

Requirements for this role include:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety (EHS), occupational health and safety, safety management, public health, or a related field
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a safety-focused role, with a genuine interest in EHS best practices and standards
