Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and address requirements, ensuring that data systems are aligned with organizational goals.
  • Educate and support staff on data architecture best practices, providing training and responding to system issues promptly.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience working with Azure data services, including Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure SQL Databases, Azure HDInsight, and Databricks.
  • Expert in SQL, Python, and ETL processes, with extensive experience in building pipelines, developing stored procedures and functions, and integrating via APIs, data streaming, and messaging queues.
  • Ability to design and implement compliant data solutions in regulated environments, preferably within clinical trials or healthcare.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, including continuous integration and deployment, and experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Proficiency with big data tools such as Apache Hadoop, Hive, and experience with data transformation formats like HL7, FHIR, JSON and Parquet.
  • Understanding of Azure Fabric offerings for developing and managing microservices and distributed applications.
