Electrical Engineering CoOp Wireless Innovator

We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineering Co-Op to join our team at Cisco Meraki. As a key member of our organization, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to the development of innovative products.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for research and development surrounding hardware and System on Chip (SoC's) such as CPUs, custom or merchant ASICs/NPUs and how we can contribute to our company's Product Roadmap. This will involve working with silicon vendors to perform SoC analysis, authoring detailed silicon evaluation plans to benchmark performance metrics, participating in silicon evaluation with multi-functional collaborator teams, and researching and assisting with next-generation SoC requirements.
As part of this role, you will also track various aspects of SOC's, including collecting performance metrics and power consumption, and analyzing them to lead to new research and design insights. You will be required to work within our high-impacting teams and collaborate with every part of the machine that brings the Meraki Magic to market.
Main Responsibilities:
- Research and development surrounding hardware and System on Chip (SoC's)
- Working with silicon vendors to perform SoC analysis
- Authoring detailed silicon evaluation plans to benchmark performance metrics
- Participating in silicon evaluation with multi-functional collaborator teams
- Researching and assisting with next-generation SoC requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have a basic knowledge of networking hardware technologies, familiarity with CPUs, NPUs, PHYs, Switching ASIC architectures, excellent communication & social skills, and ability to coordinate & drive programs across multi-functional teams. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required, along with a strong appetite for end-to-end product development.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Cisco catalyst portfolio and Meraki switching and SD-WAN products portfolio
- Experience with project management tools and Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
