Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist Role

At Memorial Hermann Health System, we are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and exceptional experiences. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a crucial role in capturing high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment of patients using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures.

This position involves performing MRI exams, preparing patients, administering contrast when necessary, positioning patients for the MRI scanner, selecting appropriate imaging techniques, and ensuring technical quality of the scan. You will also be responsible for entering and monitoring patient data, performing quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment, and identifying and reporting any accidents or equipment malfunctions.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual with a commitment to professional development and community health. The ideal candidate should be certified, possess at least one year of experience, and demonstrate excellent patient care skills.

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide safe, personalized, and efficient care to our patients. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform MRI exams, including preparing patients, administering contrast, and positioning patients for the MRI scanner.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Perform quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment, maintaining optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Identify and report any accidents or equipment malfunctions, taking prompt action to ensure patient safety.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care, addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Requirements:
  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required.
  • Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), required.
  • One year of experience in MRI technology, preferred.
