Position Summary:

Beck Automotive Group operates five dealerships and is expanding into the restaurant sector, seeking dedicated professionals who wish to grow with our 400-employee organization. We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to support our growth in the restaurant industry.

About Us:

Beck Automotive Group is a dynamic and rapidly growing automotive dealership group committed to excellence and community involvement. With five successful dealerships, we are now expanding into the restaurant business.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Payroll Specialist at Beck Automotive, you will be instrumental in managing and overseeing payroll processes for our restaurant clients. Your knowledge of restaurant payroll regulations will be vital to ensure compliance and accuracy in all payroll activities. You will handle payroll processing, administrative tasks, and provide insights to enhance payroll operations.

  • Payroll Processing: Accurately manage payroll for various restaurant clients, including both hourly and salaried staff.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws specific to the restaurant sector, including tip reporting and overtime calculations.
  • Record Maintenance: Keep precise and confidential payroll records, including timekeeping, deductions, and garnishments.
  • Reporting: Create and review payroll reports, including tax filings and employee benefits, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Troubleshooting: Address and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and payroll-related issues promptly.
  • Regulatory Updates: Stay informed on changes in payroll laws affecting the restaurant industry and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR and management teams to support payroll-related initiatives and provide guidance on payroll policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in payroll processing, with a strong emphasis on the restaurant industry.
  • Education: AA-Degree or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of restaurant payroll laws, including tip credits, overtime rules, and state-specific regulations.
  • Skills: Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and meticulousness in all payroll processing aspects.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve payroll issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Certification: CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or similar certification is preferred but not required.

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Maintain professional business attire and appearance.
  • Self-starter with strong teamwork capabilities.
  • Valid in-state driver's license and automobile insurance.
