Job Title: Sterilization Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our team at TN Specialty Dental Services, PLLC. As a Sterilization Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the inventory and distribution of medical equipment and supplies.
  • Inspect, disassemble, sort, clean, and process reusable medical instruments and equipment.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and make process adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain current training status on all applicable standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the department and all processing equipment.
  • Unload supplies, ensuring items are not compromised and stored in the correct location according to the tracking system storage locations.
  • Support the implementation of new technology for process execution and/or analysis.
  • Maintain composure and professionalism in stressful situations.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and state regulations.
  • Knowledge of the English language - composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Skilled in the use of standard office equipment, including telephones, calculators, copiers, fax, computers, and computer software (MS Excel, Word, Practice Management software).
  • Ability to instill trust from doctors, co-workers, and patients.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with management, staff, and patients.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete tasks in a timely and independent manner.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and accept constructive criticism.
  • Ability to collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate and express thoughts and ideas competently.
  • Ability to quickly grasp relevant concepts regarding duties and responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of dental assisting experience is required (orthodontics preferred).
  • Self-motivated, organized, and positive attitude.
  • Great understanding of dental terminology.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Excellent public relations skills.
  • Ability to work well with patients and team.
  • Experienced in delivering high-level customer service.
  • Committed to arriving on time daily and staying late as needed.
