Machinist Technician

Rugged Design Inc is seeking an experienced Machinist I to join our team. This role involves operating multiple CNC machines, maintaining quality control, and managing productivity.

This position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with tolerances to 0.0005 inches. The ideal candidate will have experience with G-code programming, machine-specific codes, and technical drawings.

• Run and maintain multiple multi-axis CNC machines
• Complete regular quality checks and manage scrap and productivity
• Manage set-up and tool changes, including loading raw materials and housekeeping

The successful candidate will be flexible and able to work occasional overtime, as well as adapt to changing priorities and assignments. Additionally, they will communicate effectively with peers, leaders, and support functions.

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Be a U.S. Citizen due to ITAR regulations
• Hold a Machine Tool Technology Degree or have 3+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing
• Familiarity with types and uses of various micrometers and other measuring devices
• Able to lift 50 lbs. on occasion and stand/walk/sit/bend throughout the workday
