Pediatric Physical Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team at Connecticut Children's. As a key member of our pediatric care team, you will provide direct care to patients with physical disabilities and/or functional limitations in clinic, inpatient, outpatient, and outreach programs.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough clinical assessments for assigned patients, utilizing multiple sources/methods for data collection, and interpret data to create an individual plan of care.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans, including specific goals and a variety of direct and consultative intervention approaches, while maximizing available resources within both hospital and community networks.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to define and implement physical therapy interventions that support identified needs relative to prevention of delays, promotion of independence, remediation for loss of function, and compensation for deficits.
- Provide education to patients and families, monitor response to treatment plan, and revise accordingly.
- Participate in staff development and research activities, including literature reviews, case reviews, and research projects.
- Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy required. Doctoral Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in pediatric therapy strongly preferred.
- Current State of Connecticut Physical Therapist License required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR in adult, child, and infant within first six months of hire.
