Job Overview

Eastern Metal Supply is seeking a skilled Class A CDL truck driver to join our team. As a dedicated company with a stable work history, we offer a secure and rewarding work environment.

The successful candidate will operate Company trucks on public roads to transport, load, and unload material to EMS customers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring safe driving practices in compliance with local, state, federal, and company regulations
  • Completing driver's logbooks and vehicle inspection reports according to DOT regulations
  • Inspecting vehicles and equipment to determine safe operating conditions prior to departure
  • Reviewing shipping papers for load nature and special handling requirements
  • Loading and unloading cargo safely
  • Maintaining trucks in a clean and safe manner

Requirements:

  • Class A CDL driver's license
  • Minimum of 1 year driving experience under Class A
  • No more than one major violation within the past 5 years
  • Lift and carry heavy material (at least 75 lbs.) and climb on and off a flatbed trailer
  • CDL A Truck Driver with a clean MVR
