Responsibilities:
  • Teach nursing courses to diverse students, utilizing effective teaching techniques and assessment methods.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality curriculum, adhering to approved standards and course syllabi.
  • Monitor student use of supplies, materials, and equipment, and maintain accurate records.
  • Advise and counsel students, providing guidance on academic and career goals.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of reports and other requirements for the Georgia Board of Nursing.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Three years of strong clinical experience in acute patient care, OB, Pediatrics, Medical-Surgical, and/or emergency or trauma conditions.
  • Excellent knowledge of human pathophysiology and strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality.
  • Georgia State Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Good Standing and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctoral Degree in Nursing or Education (PhD, DNP, EdD).
  • Credentials, education, and four years of full-time work experience in medical surgical nursing, acute patient care, OB, pediatrics, or emergency.
  • Minimum of one year full-time teaching in an Associate Degree Nursing or Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
