Welder Specialist

At Trinity Rail, we're seeking a skilled Career Welder to join our team in Longview, TX. Our company has a rich history of delivering goods for the good of all, and we're committed to excellence in every aspect of our operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding processes, including manual, automatic, and semi-automatic equipment. They will be responsible for applying the right welding techniques to join surfaces, fabricate, and repair metal parts according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, and sketches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply appropriate welding processes to join surfaces, fabricate, and repair metal parts.
• Lay out and mark weld points on parts of sub-assemblies.
• Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.
• Observe all standard safety practices and maintain required records.

Requirements:

• Proficiently perform fillet and groove welds.
• Perform flux core vertical welds.
• May be certified to weld to tank.
• Accurately measure within specified tolerances.
• Read blueprints.
