About the Role

The Flint Community Schools seeks a skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join its team. As a Speech and Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language disabilities.

About the District

The Flint Community Schools is an urban public school system serving approximately 6,900 students across 15 campuses. We are committed to providing a range of academic, extended services, and extracurricular activities to meet the needs of our students and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with speech and language disabilities
  • Provide direct and indirect services to students, including consultation with staff and parents/guardians
  • Participate in MET and IEPT meetings to develop and implement student IEPs

Qualifications

A Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology or a valid Michigan Teacher's Certificate with full approval in Speech & Language Impairment (SB) is required. Experience with students with severe handicaps and augmentative communication systems and devices is preferred.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Residence within a 60-mile radius of the borders of the district is required; residence within the City of Flint is preferred. We also provide opportunities for professional growth and development.

Estimated Salary: $68,750 - $78,000 per year
