As a Reading Tutor with Ampact, you will play a vital role in empowering children to become confident readers. Our program is designed to provide one-on-one support to students in kindergarten through third grade, helping them build their reading skills and overcome challenges.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized support to students, helping them build their reading skills and confidence.
- Track student progress and collaborate with the school's on-site coach to ensure effective support.
- Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software to monitor progress.
- Participate in coaching, training, and professional development to enhance your skills as a tutor.
- Represent Ampact at school events and share your experience with the community to raise awareness about the importance of literacy.
- Dependable and have a history of good attendance.
- Able to understand and follow instructions.
- Open to making improvements based on feedback.
- Capable of setting a pace and maintaining a schedule with students.
- Competent with basic computer skills, including email and online navigation.
- Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
- 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
- Able to successfully complete a background check.
- Up to $ in Education Award, which can be used to pay tuition or repay qualified student loans.
- Federal student loan forbearance and interest repayment.
- Time accrual toward Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
- Stipend paid every two weeks, with varying amounts based on hours committed per week.
