Reading Tutor

As a Reading Tutor with Ampact, you will play a vital role in empowering children to become confident readers. Our program is designed to provide one-on-one support to students in kindergarten through third grade, helping them build their reading skills and overcome challenges.

• Provide individualized support to students, helping them build their reading skills and confidence.
• Track student progress and collaborate with the school's on-site coach to ensure effective support.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software to monitor progress.
• Participate in coaching, training, and professional development to enhance your skills as a tutor.
• Represent Ampact at school events and share your experience with the community to raise awareness about the importance of literacy.

• Dependable and have a history of good attendance.
• Able to understand and follow instructions.
• Open to making improvements based on feedback.
• Capable of setting a pace and maintaining a schedule with students.
• Competent with basic computer skills, including email and online navigation.
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.
