Position Overview

The Financial Analyst is accountable for a diverse range of planning and analytical responsibilities aimed at bolstering corporate strategy, forecasting, and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate, implement, and disseminate a variety of monthly financial reports and metrics that are reviewed during month-end closures and quarterly executive meetings, including divisional P&Ls, balance sheets, and Proformas.
  • Support the formulation of the Annual Business Plan, taking full responsibility for the distribution and collection of divisional sales templates.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis and evaluation across all financial domains, including gross profit, expenditures, and net profits segmented by division, manufacturer, and customer.
  • Serve as the System Administrator for PowerBI, overseeing the development, management, and reporting of dashboards (Sales/GP, Inventory, AR, AP) to enhance business intelligence and provide insights into profitability drivers.
  • Manage company-wide NetSuite initiatives, including the preparation of Hyperion Smartview/PBCS financials and the configuration and enhancement of the existing library of NetSuite/PBCS reports.
  • Deliver budget, forecast, and variance analysis, providing the rationale behind reports and communicating findings to management as necessary.
  • Assist the Director of FP&A in analyzing and conveying effective financial and operational information, along with special projects that include variance analysis, AR reporting, and inventory reporting.
  • Provide financial modeling and decision support analysis for various ad-hoc financial initiatives.
  • Execute additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial planning, business analysis, and strategic initiatives.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or a related field with experience in corporate finance/FP&A.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI.
  • Experience with NetSuite, Hyperion Essbase/Smartview, and PBCS.
  • Knowledge of SQL database architecture and the ability to write ETL (Extract/Test/Load) processes is advantageous.
  • The capability to devise innovative strategies for addressing business challenges independently.
  • Strong analytical thinking and influencing skills.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with senior management.
  • A proactive approach in outreach to business units and functional organizations.
  • Consultative skills to provide expertise and solve problems alongside business leaders.
  • A proven track record of exercising independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
