Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at Sonora Quest. As a Cytotechnologist, you will be responsible for examining and evaluating gynecological and non-gynecological specimens to diagnose malignant and pre-malignant conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct microscopic examinations of specimens to identify abnormal cell growth
  • Assist with fine needle aspiration collection and screening
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in cytotechnological techniques
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance initiatives
Requirements
  • Completion of a cytotechnology program from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) school
  • ASCP certification or eligibility required
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain 90% proficiency on internal proficiency tests and 80% on quarterly GYN CAP mailings
