Job Overview

HM Cragg, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join their team. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components, specifically focused on the Telecommunications, Wireless, Utility, and UPS markets.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform skilled electrical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
  • Install transformers, control boards, electronic circuits, coils, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, switches, fuses, and related electrical equipment.
  • Determine modifications required when obstructions are met while installing electrical systems.
  • Read electrical blueprints, plans, and schematics.
  • Develop strong communication with Electrical Manager/Master Electrician and within all departments utilizing electrical service.
  • Ability to work from wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, blueprints, and/or verbal instructions.
  • Proficient in the use of standard electrician's tools and measuring/testing instruments such as a multi-meter.

Requirements
  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum 2-years Electrical degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Ability to work at various heights.
  • Ability to lift items greater than 25lbs (and up to 150 lbs.) repetitively on a regular basis.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must pass a physical exam, background check, and pre-employment drug screening.

Travel Expectations

Up to 75% depending on customer needs.
