Job Summary

The Charter Bus Assistant plays a vital role in the daily operation of the Yaamava' Resort & Casino Customer Bussing department. Under the direction of Transportation Leadership, this position is responsible for facilitating the successful arrival and departure of guests, ensuring accurate and efficient transportation services, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transportation Operations
    • Complete daily assigned tasks to facilitate the arrival of guests, including maintaining arrival manifests and completing arrival and departure paperwork.
    • Welcome guests upon arrival and bid farewell upon departure, while checking-in guests with company-based handheld devices.
    • Answer guest questions in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Vendor Compliance
    • Monitor vendor Department of Transportation (DOT) and Public Utility Commission (PUC) compliance to ensure successful transportation to and from Yaamava' Resort & Casino.
    • Maintain knowledge on bus promotions, promotional fliers, concerns, and general information for the successful implementation of department service goals.
  • Task Management
    • Maintain a bi-weekly list that tracks individual tasks, duties, and training classes and programs offered by the tribe through the Human Resources Department.
    • Provide completed task list to the immediate supervisor for review and evaluation purposes.
  • Incentives and Accountability
    • Issue and safeguard all incentives coupons that are issued to Yaamava' Resort & Casino Customer Bussing guests.
    • Ensure all incentives are accounted for throughout each shift and track accurate issuance and return of each incentive.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of casino operations experience preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year of charter bus experience preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year of customer service experience preferred.

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations

  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
