Position Overview:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Gulf Pointe Plaza, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. This position offers the chance to work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN), to deliver essential patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Gather and record patient data, including vital signs and other relevant measurements, adhering to established protocols.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and consistently.
  • Identify and communicate any changes in patient health status to the nursing staff.
  • Ensure seamless communication among caregivers to maintain continuity of care.
  • Perform delegated tasks and utilize medical equipment as per training and competency.
  • Support medical staff and patients during unit-specific procedures.
  • Provide general assistance to the department, including welcoming patients and visitors.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; must be a certified CNA in good standing.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift residents as needed.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and nursing assistant techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think independently.
  • Understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices.
