Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CT Technologist to join our team at KA Recruiting Inc. in the Eastern Maryland area. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images and operating CT scanners, power injectors, and post-processing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Image Production: Produce high-quality radiographic images through appropriate positioning and technical factors.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and post-processing equipment.
  • Protocol Adjustment: Adjust protocols to meet patient needs when necessary.
  • Procedure Critique: Critique completed procedures for high diagnostic quality.
  • General Radiography: Perform general radiography exams as needed.
  • Quality Control: Maintain a repeat rate at or below the national standard.
  • Knowledge and Communication: Familiarity with terminology and procedures performed in all of Diagnostic Imaging. Demonstrate a working knowledge of all front desk and file room procedures.
  • Patient Communication: Communicate delays to patients. Explain procedures so that patients are comfortable. Obtain thorough and pertinent patient history and prepare patients for examination.
  • Research and Development: Encourage and assist in research at the technologist level. Keep abreast of new procedures and exams as it pertains to area of diagnostic imaging practice.
  • Equipment Selection: Select the appropriate equipment and be aware of the set up based on procedure protocol, specifications, and standards.
  • Image Evaluation: Evaluate the technical quality of images and be able to record, archive, retrieve, compile, and calculate data.
  • Assistance with Invasive Procedures: Independently capable of assisting the radiologist during invasive procedures such as biopsies and abscess drainages.
  • Patient Positioning: Position the patient based on anatomy in question and provide accurate measurements, educate and clearly explain procedures before imaging, and follow age-specific guidelines.
  • Patient Identification: Practice positive patient identification.
  • Patient History and Communication: Acquire complete and appropriate patient history and convey all pertinent information to radiologist. Confer with radiologist regarding patient care and protocol as necessary.
