Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Tech II to join our exceptional surgical team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the sterile field and instruments for surgical procedures, collaborating with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe surgeries, performing surgical counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments, and ensuring proper cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization of equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

">

To be considered for this position, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited surgical technologist program, certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT, basic life support certification within 30 days of hire, and less than 1 year of experience in a surgical technologist role.

Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field and instruments for surgical procedures.">
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe surgeries.">
  • Perform surgical counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments.">
  • Assist with patient preparation, draping, and positioning.">
  • Ensure proper cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization of equipment.">
  • Follow infection control policies and regulatory guidelines.">
  • Maintain inventory and manage surgical supplies.">

Qualifications

  • ">
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.">
  • Certification:">
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT OR">
  • Completion of formal training in surgical technology through the military/public health service OR">
  • Employed in a surgical technologist role in a healthcare facility prior to September 1, 2009.">
  • Basic Life Support (BLS): Required within 30 days of hire or transfer.">
  • Experience: Less than 1 year of experience.">
