Cancer Epidemiologist

We are seeking a talented Cancer Epidemiologist to join our team at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and the University of Virginia Comprehensive Cancer Center. As part of our Precision Health for Populations initiative, you will have the opportunity to conduct innovative research to advance the science of cancer epidemiology and apply these discoveries as personalized prevention/risk reduction strategies and approaches.

This is a tenure-track/eligible faculty position supported under a newly announced Precision Health initiative. The successful candidate will have a primary appointment in the Department of Public Health Sciences and membership in the UVACC's Cancer Prevention and Population Health research program.

• Conduct innovative research to advance the science of cancer epidemiology
• Apply discoveries as personalized prevention/risk reduction strategies and approaches
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary investigator teams informed by community needs
• Participate in the Precision Health for Populations Initiative

• Terminal degree (e.g., PhD, MD, ScD) in cancer epidemiology or a related field
• Proven track record of sustained peer-reviewed funded research in cancer etiology, risk reduction, screening, early detection, and/or survival
• Scholarly record of collaboration in multidisciplinary investigator teams informed by community needs
