School Counselor

The School Counselor at Colorado Early Colleges provides academic and career guidance to students, working under the supervision of the Head of School. This role is responsible for creating and implementing Safety Plans, MTSS Behavior and social Emotional Plans, and threat assessments in collaboration with students, parents, instructors, and administrators.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides individual and group check-ins and supports for students with emotional regulation, peer relationships, time management, organizational skills, communication, conflict resolution, and decision making skills.
- Collaborates with students, parents, instructors, and administrators in creating and implementing Safety Plans, MTSS Behavior and social Emotional Plans, and threat assessments.
- Maintains strict confidentiality when providing services to students and maintains complete and accurate student records in IC.
- Attends meetings and professional development as requested by Director of Student Services.
Requirements
- Masters degree from an accredited college or university in discipline applicable to school counseling required.
- Colorado Department of Education Certification as a School Counselor required.
- 1-3 years as a school counselor preferred.
