Porter/Custodial Associate

As a Porter/Custodial at Big Y, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and attractive store environment. This includes performing maintenance and janitorial duties, cleaning and sanitizing the meat cutting area, kitchen, and bakery area, and ensuring proper department conditions and supplies.

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Operate equipment and machinery as needed to complete tasks
• Restock supplies and maintain inventory levels
• Assist with special projects and events as needed

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will also need to be physically able to perform the duties of the job, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
