Linux Systems Operations Manager

IDR, Inc. is in search of a Linux Systems Operations Manager for a prominent client. This position offers a chance to be part of a large organization that values a collaborative and growing team culture.

This role is primarily remote; however, only candidates located in the specified area will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the setup, configuration, and upkeep of Linux servers.
  • Lead infrastructure initiatives from conception through to execution.
  • Engage with architects, stakeholders, and senior management consistently.
  • Monitor IT systems to guarantee the security of operating systems and eliminate points of failure to enhance system reliability.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Linux Systems Administration or Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of prior leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Robust background in Linux OS, particularly Red Hat.
  • Proficient scripting skills in Bash (knowledge of Python and Perl is advantageous).
  • Strong experience with VMware (familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus).
