Aircraft Technician Trainee Job Description

Job Summary:

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Aircraft Technician Trainee to join our team. As an Aircraft Technician Trainee, you will assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of customer aircraft, gaining knowledge of and familiarity with the Gulfstream aircraft, internal procedures for work completion, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with the inspection and maintenance of various Gulfstream aircraft systems, including airframe structural, electrical, hydraulic, fuel, landing gear, flight controls, and rigging.
  2. Coordinate with the Inspection department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
  3. Properly complete parts change sheets, work order sign-offs, shift turn-overs, and other paperwork in a timely manner.
  4. Ensure that work accomplished meets FAA requirements, customer specifications, and Gulfstream standard of quality.
  5. Properly identify and store customer property and equipment, preventing damage to aircraft.
  6. Assist Line Service with the movement and servicing of aircraft.

Requirements:

  1. Strong mechanical aptitude.
  2. Enrollment in an Airframe & Powerplant license program preferred.
  3. Essential communication skills, including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, and listening and computer keyboard skills.
