Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled General Laborer to join our team at ACI Asphalt & Concrete, Inc. As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for various duties on a construction project, including directing traffic, shoveling, and raking.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist the crew with various duties, such as shoveling, raking, and operating equipment.
  • Signal operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and materials.
  • Lift, carry, and hold materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Assist in the placement, moving, and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices.
  • Be kind and courteous to the traveling public, pedestrians, and co-workers.
  • Follow the direction of the Foreman regarding daily tasks and expectations.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.
  • Previous related experience in the construction field is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects or controls, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
  • Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions.
