Physician Assistant

As a Physician Assistant at the Lower Eastside Service Center, you will provide critical medical services to clients in our outpatient chemical dependency program. Your responsibilities will include conducting admissions and annual physicals, evaluating client needs, and participating in interdisciplinary team discussions.
MAJOR DUTIES:
Collect medical history at admission and perform annual physical examinations.
Order laboratory tests and medical procedures, and review results with the physician.
Present findings to the physician for final admission diagnosis.
Update immunizations, apply and interpret tuberculosis skin tests, and draw blood for admissions and evaluations.
Provide primary emergency care to clients and report unusual medical occurrences to the physician.
Evaluate client reaction to medication and present findings to the physician.
Participate in interdisciplinary staff conferences and assume an active role in client management.
SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday, with varying hours depending on the day.
SALARY:
$95,000 - $98,000 per year, dependent on experience.
LOCATION:
New York, NY 10002.

QUALIFICATIONS:
RPA license in the State of New York and a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, with 4 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
